JessR's Top 10 Sexiest Men in Video Games
Merriam-Webster defines sexy as:
If we go off these definitions of sexy that Merriam-Webster gives us then we need to look for men/masculine figures who catch our eye, hold our attention, and is pleasing to some of our senses. There are many men who grace our computer/TV screens through many video games, through multiple decades and thus we have a huge pool of men to select from. Narrowing the scope from hundreds of male/masculine figures down to just ten isn't the easiest task to do, but these are the 10 that I picked as my top ten sexiest men in Video Games. Some of them are obvious and some may need explaining but I that this list is pretty well rounded.
Cloud: Where oh where to start with Cloud? Young, strong (he has to be in order to lift that sword, huh?), and loyal...not to mention that wildly tossed hair. He’s willing to head out into an unknown fate and fight enemies he’s unaware, that kind of action takes a lot of courage and courage can be very sexy. He's a hero just waiting to be swept off his feet by a swooning princess or tough ass female.
Link: A man on a quest, sexy in those tight green pants, and those pointy ears, how could he not make the list? His endless searches for Zelda, willingness to fight enemy after enemy, getting stuck in one situation after another isn’t something a normal man can or would do. And come on....he’s got confidence enough to wear the outfit that he sports from game to game, now there's a man who is sure of himself.
Leon (Resident Evil 4): Dark, mysterious, fighting Parasitically-controlled humans, and welding weapons as he goes. With long bangs that just beg to be tossed or swept to the side with your fingertips makes this guy a sure bet for one of the sexiest men to grace our screens. He's been hanging around for 4 Resident Evils with a sure bet on the 5th makes him someone people just aren't eager to let go of...
Sephiroth (FF7): Who doesn't like the bad guy? No list could be complete without a bad guy gracing the list. He's made many appearances but most famous for his Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts roles. Tall with long silver hair, bright green eyes and a sword that doesn't end, so many jokes to be made but he's definitely one to make the list.
Dante/Vergil (Devil May Cry): Twins....opposite in many ways but similar in one. HOT! These twins have caught the eye and hearts of many a female game player. It all depends on whether you like the "bad" guy or the "good" guy. Dante having Supernatural powers coupled with his silver hair, and wild/thrill seeking attitude makes him only equaled to one other...Vergil. He shares his brother’s looks (only difference being his hair being worn up) but Vergil is cold, stoic, great with his sword and also as mysterious as his brother because of his background and his supernatural powers makes him one of interest.
Prince (Prince of Persia): Dark, mysterious, disheveled hair and with origins unknown (he's an orphan in the first game) he's set out as a hero out to save the life of a Princess who has little time to decide whether to marry the "bad guy" or die. He risks his life for her, which makes him sexy in his own right.
Crypto: Unique, different, opposite from everything we know...how can he not catch our eye or keep our attention? Add to it his deep gravely voice, his off-beat sense of humor, and his lovely abusive attitude (oh come on, some people like that kind of trait) and you've got yourself quite the male package ready to entertain you for hours on end.
Larry (Leisure Suit Larry): Who can be more interesting to the human psych then Larry? Complete with his strut, Miami Vice-esque shirts, and slicked back hair he's ready to tackle any dating scene he comes across. What’s sexy about him? He knows what he wants and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get it, including embarrassing himself in front of women.
Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden/Dead or Alive): Tall, dark, and mysterious...you have the makings of every woman's dream come true. Strong, silent, and ready for action, he stares into your soul with his dark and brooding eyes. If it’s not his “I’ll kick your ass” attitude or his rippling muscles that you find sexy then it could be the way he welds his sword his battle.
Mario: Now here's a man of the people. He’s a working class man who knows how to use his head to get through tough situations. Add to it his fancy foreign accent, his strong sense of friendship and loyalty and you've got the total package. What could be sexier then that? Oh yea….his endless domination of gaming, he’s all over the place! Playing sports, saving the Princess, driving go-karts, he can do it all.
