So, with this in mind, I give you my quick picks, short, to the point reasons why you should or shouldn’t see the films that are opening this weekend. Think of it as a strategy guide for moviegoers.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs: B

• Why you should see it: It’s an entertaining film fun for the whole family.
• Why you should pass: It deviates from the book somewhat and at times feels a bit low brow.

The Informant!: B

• Why you should see it: Matt Damon stars in his funniest role yet.
• Why you should pass: At times the film seems to revel in the fact that Damon is playing against type.

Jennifer’s Body: D+

• Why you should see it: Megan Foxx
• Why you should pass: Much like it’s star, the film is nice to look at but ultimately vapid.

Love Happens: F

• Why you should see it: you shouldn’t
• Why you should pass: This is the worst, most cliché romantic comedy I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen Gigli!
