I know that when it comes right down to it, you don’t always want to read an entire article to find out if you should see a movie or not. So, with this in mind, I give you my quick picks, short, to the point reasons why you should or shouldn’t see the films that are opening this weekend. Think of it as a strategy guide for moviegoers.

The Princess and the Frog: A-

• Why you should see it: A fun, beautiful and heartwarming film, destined to be a Disney classic.
• Why you should pass: The film doesn’t quite live up to the standards set by Beauty and the Beast.

Invictus: C+

• Why you should see it: It’s an inspirational tail told with standard Clint Eastwood flair.
• Why you should pass: The film sputters to a halt in the last act and Freeman is only given a caricature of Nelson Mandela to work with.
